MEET STEVEN

I am a proud Washington Township parent, a PROUD Class of 2010 North Central Alumnus, a Washington Township resident, a lifelong Hoosier, and a dedicated IT professional and adjunct lecturer.  I am passionate about the Washington Township Schools community!

Since I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Social Studies Education from Indiana University in Bloomington, I have dedicated my career to serving others. I have worked in higher ed and public service, where i've managed budgets, led programs, and oversaw staff and teams. I earned my Master of Science in Technology from Purdue University.

I am an IT Leader at Indiana University. Additionally, I teach computer skills courses as an adjunct lecturer.  I was named Outstanding Adjunct Faculty Member at Ivy Tech in 2021.  Through my work, I have experience managing organizational finances, supervising staff, developing various technical programs, and working collaboratively with both professional and lay leaders in many settings.

In addition to my professional work, I relish the opportunity to invest in the community and the institutions that inspire me. Over the past few years, I have become a deeply involved member of the WTS community. As a parent, I am involved in the Eastwood PTO and currently serve as a Board Director for the Washington Township Schools Foundation. I regularly participate in school board meetings. I had the opportunity to participate in community interviews for North Central’s new principal and the Director of Teaching and Learning 6-8. In addition, I am a proud volunteer for Kids Voice, where we advocate for children’s best interests in Marion County’s family court system. I was awarded the Hometown Hero Award through my work at Kids Voice. I also proudly serve as a Board Member for At Your School, Inc.; a leading out-of-school time provider in Central Indiana and WTS Before and After School Provider.  My engagement and volunteerism runs deep, and I believe I play an integral role in giving back.

Join me as we take these next steps to strengthen Washington Township Schools.
